… tatsächlich kommt bei mir Weihnachten immer viel schneller als gedacht… wollte ich doch aus den Blöcken des Modern Christmas Sampler-Projekts vom letzten Jahr rechtzeitig zur Adventszeit dieses Jahr einen Wand-Quilt fertiggestellt haben… Inzwischen habe ich wenigstens das Top zusammengesetzt und habe noch die Hoffnung, den Quilt bis Weihnachten fertig zu bekommen.
... in fact, Christmas always comes much faster for me than anticipated ... I wanted to have created a wall quilt from the blocks of last years’s Modern Christmas Sampler project in time for Advent ... Meanwhile, I have at least put together the top but still have some hope to get the quilt ready for Christmas.
Und heute ist sogar schon das Päckchen meiner australischen Partnerin beim SSCS “Secret Santa Christmas Swap” angekommen! Das ist immer extrem spannend! Bei diesem Swap gibt es ja immer zwei Komponenten: 1. ein selbstgemachtes Ornament, das immer sofort ausgepackt werden darf , und 2. das Hauptgeschenk, das erst an Weihnachten geöffnet wird.
And today the package of my Australian partner of the SSCS "Secret Santa Christmas Swap" has already arrived! That is always extremely exciting! This swap always has two components: 1. a homemade ornament, which may be unpacked immediately, and 2. the main gift, which will not be opened before Christmas.

Bei MossandLotus gibt es ein Tomte Sal und ich konnte nicht widerstehen, ein paar dieser knuffigen Tomte-Blöcke zu nähen. Vielleicht mache ich Mugrugs daraus.
