Beim Secret Santa Christmas Swap durfte ich dieses Jahr etwas für Chookyblue nähen. Auf ihrem Blog zeigt sie nicht nur ihre Näharbeiten, sondern erzählt auch von ihrem herausfordernden Leben auf einer Schaf- und Rinderfarm in New South Wales, Australien. Schon öfters hat sie über “Lamby” berichtet, ein Schaf, das sie mit der Flasche aufgezogen hat, das recht zutraulich geworden ist und so einiges anstellt. Und schon hatte ich ein Thema für einen kleinen Quilt gefunden… er heißt “Lamby and Friends”.
At the Secret Santa Christmas Swap, I was chosen to sew something for Chookyblue this year. Not only does she show her stitching adventures on her blog, she also talks about her challenging life on a sheep and cattle farm in New South Wales, Australia. Many times she has talked about "Lamby", a lamb she had raised with a bottle, which has become quite trusting and does a lot of funny things. And that’s how I came up with the theme for a little quilt ... it's called "Lamby and Friends".
